This 2.5-hour workshop, Elisavet Rodopoulou will share her family’s tradition of weaving.
Participants will get a full immersion into the process of tapestry weaving according to the Tsakonian technique. They will have the opportunity to experiment with weaving on a traditional vertical loom and create their own woven piece by hand, using local materials on a wooden table loom.
During the workshop, all participants will also gain practical skills and knowledge in warping, loom set-up and weaving simple geometrical patterns.
The course is suitable for beginners and those with experience.
